How is the score calculated?

The Yuka score is based on three criteria:

60%
Nutritional quality (Nutri-Score)
30%
Food additives (risk level)
10%
Organic certification

A product containing a risky additive (marked in red) is automatically capped at a maximum score of 49/100, regardless of its nutritional quality.

Did you just buy a Buddy product? Compare it with other products in the same category. If you find a product with a strictly higher Yuka score, you can request a refund.

Eligible Categories

  • Natural energy drinks
  • Electrolyte sachets
  • Hydration drinks with electrolytes

Conditions

  • The Buddy product was purchased in-store
  • The compared product belongs to the same category
  • The competitor’s Yuka score is strictly higher
  • Request sent within 14 days of purchase
  • Valid proof of purchase provided
  • Clear screenshot of both Yuka scores (products visible)

Exclusions

  • Product not in the same category
  • Score is equal or lower
  • Request is incomplete or late
  • Screenshots are unreadable or modified
  • Products are not comparable (different use case)

How to Claim

  1. Take a photo of your receipt
  2. Screenshot the Buddy Yuka score
  3. Screenshot the competitor with a higher score
  4. Send everything to: info@buddydrink.be
Processing Response within 5 business days. If approved, refund in 5–10 days.
